Fashion Flare: The Hottest Hip Hop Looks From New York City Rappers

Every city has its own fashion flare, and we’re highlighting it before the BET Hip Hop Awards 2021.

Every city has its own fashion flare. Take New York for example: the Big Apple, known for its annual fashion weeks, bustling fabric district, and eye-catching streetwear. It is hard to ignore that the east coast city has a style that continues to influence the masses—especially in hip hop.

Native New Yorkers are known for flaunting their city edge with gaudy designer pieces, oversized clothing, and flashy jewelry. Simply put, locals of NYC exude swagger.

When traveling throughout the boroughs, expect to see plenty of people rocking sporty snapbacks, crisp white t-shirts, layers of jewelry, custom threads, colorful outfits, and we’d be remiss not to mention Timberland boots

In the spirit of the BET Hip Hop Awards 2021, we are revisiting some of our favorite moments when New York City rappers showcased their signature style while visiting their hometown. Keep scrolling to see the stylish looks!
