The LOX deliver new freestyle at Madison Square Garden

This time last year, KITH partnered with Dipset to deliver a freestyle live from Madison Square Garden, all in promotion of the streetwear brand’s latest collaboration with Nike for the New York Knicks. Fast-forward to now, and KITH has decided to do it all again — this time, with The LOX at center court. To no one’s surprise, Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, and Styles P waste no time taking care of business from a lyrical standpoint:

“Sometimes it’s hard for me to spit it from the soul, knowing this music business is politically controlled, coming from where we from, the triple threat is all we know, shoot the jumper, you pass it, or you take it to the hole, they say them New York boys drillin’ too much, will we make it or will we die, that’s a riddle to us, but the same rules apply, you forget ’em, you learn ’em over, there’s nothing they can do, when we press ’em, they turn it over, it’s all timing, let’s get it back to rhymin’, this microwave music, these microwave diamonds, if everybody do what he says, they’re all Simons, must I remind you, careful who you lying to, before they GoFund you, they gon’ have to go find you…”

The freestyle comes after The LOX went head-to-head with their aforementioned predecessors in one of the most exciting Verzuz battles to date — one that largely saw the Yonkers trio as the victors. Last year saw them teaming up with Roc Nation for their fourth studio LP Living Off Xperience, a 14-track project that saw additional contributions from Westside Gunn, Benny The Butcher, Dyce Payne, Jeremih, Oswin Benjamin, Clay Dub, T-Pain, and the late DMX. Since then, the group contributed top tier verses to DMX’s posthumous release Exodus, as well as Kanye West’s DONDA.
