A man admitted his role in dealing drugs that killed four people and now faces life behind bars.

Last week, Kelsey V. Williams Jr. pleaded guilty in an Ohio federal court to distributing a controlled substance that resulted in death or serious bodily injury, according to prosecutors.

Prosecutors say that on New Year’s Eve 2018 and New Year’s Day 2019, Williams distributed a fentanyl and cocaine mixture that caused four fatal overdoses and two non-fatal overdoses.

Fentanyl is an opioid often mixed with other drugs to enhance the effects, but a small amount can be deadly.

Williams was arrested in May in Minnesota and initially charged with several counts.

Williams is set to be sentenced at a later date and faces 20 years to life behind bars.
