NEW YORK — Officials are investigating after a man was fatally shot in the head during a drive-by shooting Thursday night in the Bronx, according to authorities.
At approximately 7:45 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at East 169th Street and Washington Avenue in Morrisania.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 37-year-old John Melville with a gunshot wound to the head in front of 1292 Washington Avenue.
According to the NYPD, Melville was standing on the corner when a gray Lexus began firing from inside the vehicle, striking him in the head.
