Update August 15, 2022: Only a week after the first mockups and leaks surfaced, more have come through! @shawnleekix has leaked a slew of IRL images. With more leaks coming through, we suspect that the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Black Phantom’ is actually on the way.

Fresh off two shows at London’s O2 arena this month, Travis Scott has re-entered earth’s atmosphere in a big way after the Astroworld tragedy last year. Live performances were not the only aspect of Travis Scott’s professional life on hiatus either, his ultra-hyped Nike and Jordan Brand collaborations also put on hold while Scott attempted to make amends.

Scott’s sneaker collaborations fired back up in July with the long-anticipated Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Reverse Mocha’, the low-top design extending the Houston rapper’s fascination with Michael Jordan’s maiden signature sneaker.

It now looks like Scott is set to continue his series of Air Jordan 1s, the latest leaks suggesting an upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Black Phantom’. Of course emblazoned with his signature reverse Swoosh (a motif now mesmerising the sneaker industry more broadly), the model is manufactured in all black suede, with white stitching providing contrast. In terms of branding, the ‘Cactus Jack’ logo will appear on the tongue, medial side panel and sockliner, while the classic Air Jordan Wings are stamped on the back heel tabs. Scott’s crude smiley face logo will also make an appearance on the left shoe.

Look for the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG ‘Black Phantom’ to release on December 15, 2022.

Note: The above image is a mockup only.
