YOUNG THUG ASSOCIATE WHO ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO KILL YFN LUCCI TAKES PLEA DEAL IN YSL RICO CASE

ATLANTA, GA – A Young Thug associate who allegedly tried to kill YFN Lucci has become the latest to take a plea deal in the RICO case against the rapper’s Young Slime Life (YSL) collective.
According to WSB-TV, Antonio Sumlin (known as Obama) pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime and participation in criminal street gang activity on Thursday (December 22).

Sumlin was sentenced to 15 years probation as part of his negotiated plea.

The 32-year-old is one of two men prosecutors believe were behind the stabbing of Atlanta rapper YFN Lucci in Fulton County Jail in March.

Sumlin and fellow YSL associate Christian Eppinger allegedly worked to get Young Thug’s permission to carry out the attack. Legal documents revealed there was a bounty on Lucci’s head and he begged the judge to sentence him to house arrest, but was denied.

6ix9ine reacted to the news of Sumlin’s plea deal on his Instagram Stories, questioning the punishment and recalling the public backlash to his own legal situation.

“15 years probation for attempted murder/conspiracy, LMFAOO,” wrote the Brooklyn rapper, who earned a reputation as a snitch after cooperating with authorities in the 2019 trial against New York’s Nine Trey Gangster Bloods, with whom he was affiliated

Why everybody so quiet? When it was me everyone had something to say. Lmao. Rappers all of a sudden don’t got opinions because it’s y’all friends.”

He added: “Probation for attempted murder is crazy. People doing more time for smoking weed, like what.”

Obama is now the sixth defendant to plead guilty ahead of the YSL RICO trial, which is due to begin on January 9.

Gunna pleaded guilty to a racketeering conspiracy charge last week and was released from jail after being given a four-year sentence with one already served in prison. The rest of his sentence will be served in the form of 500 hours of community service.

Young Thug’s brother, Unfoonk (Quantavious Grier), along with Slimelife Shawty (Winnie Lee), Lil Duke (Martinez Arnold) and YSL co-founder Walter Murphy, have also accepted plea deals.
