Safaree Samuels just had a brush with death. The rapper/reality TV star was left dumbfounded after he almost paid the ultimate price as a victim of random violence in Atlanta, giving him enough reason to loathe the city.
Opening up about the scary experience, Safaree took to his Instagram Stories to reveal that he almost got shot in the head by a stray bullet on Wednesday, March 1. Filming a wall scratched by the bullet, he said in a video, “Yo! I was just standing right here.” Another man was heard exclaiming, “What the f**k!”
“I almost got shot in my head by a stray bullet!!” the New York City-born artist wrote in the caption. “I was inches away from where the bullet holes came from!! This is why I can’t f**king stand Atlanta!!! THANK GOD OMG!! That’s why I don’t feel sorry for you criminals.”
In the next Story, Safaree gave a close-up look at the bullet fragments he held in his hand. “I cannot believe that just happened!!! Whoever that was had a switch on his gun and let off 10 shots in 3 seconds,” so he wrote over the picture.
It’s currently unclear if Safaree has reported the incident to police or if an arrest has been made, but the 41-year-old star didn’t seem to personally know the suspect.
Just hours before having the close call, Safaree appeared to criticize those who support criminals as he tweeted, “Why do ppl say free somebody when they’re in jail knowing that they committed the crime?? Are you saying free them so they can do it again?”
what if you or your family was the victim would you want them free,” he went on asking, without naming names. “pls help me understand the thought process behind this.”
