EST Gee has dropped the teaser trailer for his new Mad project, which will give fans an insight into his history with death and prison.
On Friday (March 3), the Louisville rapper took to Instagram to announce his forthcoming album. In the clip, viewers witness Gee’s meteoric rise and the many ups and downs he dealt with early in his career.
The video confirmed that the CMG rapper’s new project will arrive on March 17.
“You gonna look at me and tell me it ain’t that bad,” EST Gee says in the short clip. “Let them bang on my past. Bet you don’t feel nothing, you can’t be mad. You cannot be mad… Ain’t no tragedy in life like the death of a child they say, what about the devil in n-ggas in the wild?”
Ahead of the project’s teaser trailer, EST Gee dropped three singles: “Undefeated,” “If I Stop Now,” and “Blow Up.”
2022 was quite the year for Gee. In September, the “Have Mercy” rapper dropped his debut studio album, I Never Felt Nun. The project features guest appearances from Future, Bryson Tiller, Jack Harlow, Machine Gun Kelly, and Jeezy.
The 21-track album included singles like “Blood,” “Love Is Blind,” and “Hell.”
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Gee recently opened up about the project’s creative process.
“I just try to, I don’t know, whenever I feel like it’s done, it’s done, so I just be recording,” he revealed. “Kind of stack the songs up and I listen to it a couple times, I might throw it out, give it to somebody, anything.”
Prior to that, Gee dropped, Last Ones Left, which worked as a joint effort between him and 42 Dugg. It spawned several chart-topping singles, including “Who Hotter Than Gee,” “Free the Shiners,” and “Thump Shit.”
