Nicki Minaj has offered up some new info about her upcoming Pink Friday 2 album, telling fans they can expect quite the musical experience.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday (July 29), Minaj teased that her much-anticipated project will drop sooner than they realize. She also boasted that the album’s musical quality is nearly transcendent in nature, and all but promised world peace to her devotees.
“Y’all, I’m not even kidding. In 111 days…Pink Friday 2,” she wrote. “is coming to save & restore hope in mankind omg barbz I love you I dooooo! Like when y’all have this masterpiece y’all gon be on [cloud emoji] [nine emoji]. Omg I love it so much y’all. I assfcfhnkjhdbyik.”

Minaj, however, won’t just be appearing on her own project. Earlier this month, her former Young Money running mate Drake confirmed that the “Starships” rapper will be making a special guest appearance on his upcoming album, For All The Dogs.
The Toronto rapper made the announcement during a tour stop in Detroit, MI as part of his and 21 Savage’s It’s All A Blur Tour.
“I’m gonna give away one thing for you tonight, because I got a lot of love for Detroit,” he said on stage. “So I’m gonna have to tell you that me and Nicki Minaj did our first song together in, like, a really long time. I got a lot of love for her. Okay. Let me just assess the titties tonight, and then, we’ll get to the most important part.”
While the 6 God didn’t reveal the name of the track they worked on, nor did he reveal when the single would be released, he certainly got the crowd excited about the prospect.
As for Minaj’s latest solo work, she first announced the title of Pink Friday 2 back in June, and promised that it would serve as a sequel to the 2010 debut album Pink Friday and a follow-up to 2018’s Queen.
“Dear Barbz, I’ve been trying to find the right time to tell you this for a few days. Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys @ a later time, I’ve shifted the album date just a tad bit,” she wrote on Twitter last month.
“Trust me, it’ll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT…but since I AM shifting the date just a tad, I’d like to give you guys a tiny SIP of some more album tea so that I don’t have to get cussed out so…here it goes: MY NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED ON 11.17.23- And she shall be called #PinkFriday2.”
She added: “I love you guys so much. I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn’t even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless, you. will. love. this. album.”
Nicki also revealed plans to hit the road, saying that an accompanying tour will follow early next year. “I will give tour deets closer to that time, but obviously the tour will start around the first quarter of 2024,” she wrote. “I’ll also share the REAL album cover at a later date.”
