YFN LUCCI’S RICO TRIAL GETS START DATE

FULTON COUNTY, GA – YFN Lucci’s delayed RICO trial date is finally on the calendar with the proceedings set to get underway next year.
According to VladTV, Lucci — born Rashawn Bennett — will take the stand with his high-profile attorney, Drew Findling, come January 8, 2024

The YFN RICO trial is expected to overlap with the YSL RICO trial, which began last month. It could also end up coinciding with YNW Melly’s retrial after his initial double-murder trial ended in a mistrial earlier this year.

YFN Lucci remains behind bars after being hit with RICO charges while he was out on bond for his involvement in the alleged murder of a 28-year-old man, James Adams.

Lucci was subpoenaed while in jail and called to testify in the YSL RICO trial in February, but he’s refused to take the stand, contrary to original reports.

Prosecutors wanted his testimony after the YFNBC boss was stabbed by a fellow inmate while in jail in March 2021. Prosecutors alleged that two YSL associates were behind the attack and worked to get Thug’s permission to make a second attempt on the rapper’s life.

Even in a earthquake we wouldnt break nigga know we solid #Free650,” he wrote to Instagram which many took as a response to the YSL trial request.

Many of the “Everyday We Lit” rapper’s friends flooded the comment section calling for his freedom, including Lil Tjay, Waka Flocka Flame, former NFL star Chris Johnson and more.

Earlier this year, the prosecution offered Lucci a plea deal which called for 20 years in prison and looked for him to serve at least 17 “inside.”

Through his attorneys Drew Findling and Gabe Banks, Lucci reportedly denied the plea deal and his legal team called the offer “absurd.”

Despite the obstacles consistently placed in the way of Mr. Bennett’s constitutional right to a speedy and fair trial, we continue to be ready and prepared to defend these false allegations,” the attorneys said in a joint statement to TMZ.
