It appears Rick Ross is reigniting his feud with Drake. The rapper recently updated the cover art for his diss track “Champagne Moments” which targets Drake.
“The updated cover art has been transformed into a whimsical cartoon depiction of the Toronto rapper, complete with a bold blonde hairstyle, stylish glasses, and a dapper bow tie. This playful redesign offers a fresh and humorous take on the artist’s image, showcasing their versatility and willingness to poke fun at themselves.”
Fans remember “Champagne Moments” as the immediate response to Drake’s “Push Ups.” Ross released the track just hours after Drake dropped “Push Ups,” sparking a flurry of hot takes and commentary within the rap community. Although Ross didn’t directly diss Drake on his guest appearance in Future and Metro Boomin’s “Everyday Hustle,” his presence on the album alone prompted Drake to send shots his way.
Drake fires back on “Push Ups” with lines aimed at Rick Ross. He taunts Ross about his age, referencing his upcoming 50th birthday, and implies he overshadows Ross’ success.
“Ross fired back with ‘Champagne Moments’, a scathing retort that took aim at Drake’s alleged use of ghostwriters and his lucrative deal with Universal Music Group. With biting lyrics, Ross rapped, ‘Ghostwriters flaunt what could’ve been yours / Your label’s in the red, are you still getting yours? / You’re just a hired hand seeking chart success, don’t make me laugh’.”
He repeatedly referred to Drake as a “white boy” and explained why he unfollowed his former friend on social media during a rant on the song’s outro. “You never wanted to be a n—a anyway, n—a. That’s why you had an operation to make your nose smaller than your father’s, n—a.” He added, “I unfollowed you, n—a, because you sent the cease-and-desist to French Montana, n—a. You sent the police, n—a, hated on my dog’s project.”
The ball is in Drake’s court… again.
