Pusha T is stepping into the coffee scene with the launch of his own brand, Grindin’ Coffee. This new venture represents a unique blend of his musical influence and personal taste, offering fans a highly caffeinated experience that reflects the rapper’s bold style.
Drawing inspiration from his discography, the brand is named after Clipse’s iconic 2002 debut single, “Grindin’,” which reached No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although coffee may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Pusha T, he aims to change that perception with this exciting new product.
Grindin’ Coffee made its debut earlier this month at a pop-up event in Los Angeles, coinciding with Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival. The coffee is described as a “strong black coffee” that embodies Pusha’s distinctive taste and energy.
Reflecting on his new product, Pusha T shared on social media, “All my dreams and ideas start from my passions. Luckily, I have been able to find partnerships and platforms to help bring my visions to life. This is just a piece of me and how I start my day.”
In addition to launching his coffee brand, Pusha T has recently praised fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar, referring to him as the “lyric king.” During a panel discussion at Revolt World in Atlanta, he expressed admiration for Lamar’s impact on the rap genre, highlighting how his authenticity resonates with fans, even those who may not typically focus on lyrics.
“It’s amazing to watch him be exactly who he is,” Pusha stated. “And people who never even listen to lyrics are reciting his freestyles, his battles, his songs. It’s great for what we do in lyric-driven hip-hop.”
