Hip-hop fans, get ready—the new Clipse album is officially on the way!

During a recent appearance at Saint & Citizen’s “Saint Sessions Live” event at Art Basel in Miami, Pusha T confirmed that the highly anticipated Clipse album is fully completed. Speaking with Ari Melber, he revealed that he has the entire project saved on his phone.

Pusha began by addressing the current landscape of hip-hop and the significance of the upcoming Clipse project. “There are no duos in rap today, and lyric-driven hip-hop is alive and well,” he stated, as reported by Complex. “You’re going to witness how hip-hop and street hip-hop has matured. It’s been 15 years since we released an album… I believe people are going to experience greatness. This is about chemistry and brotherhood, and that includes Pharrell, who produced the album from start to finish.” Responding to the frustration surrounding the lengthy wait for new music, he added, “We take our time, and while people may be upset, I promise you it’s done. It’s in my phone.”

Pusha T and No Malice have been building anticipation for the album throughout 2024. In a recent interview with Vulture, Pusha elaborated on the project, stating, “I think the album showcases the supreme maturation of a rap duo. This is where you see the distinction between taste and filler. This music is curated and represents a high level of artistry.”

At the Art Basel event, Pusha also touched upon the ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, reflecting on his own history with the Toronto rapper.
