Yasiin Bey Announces ‘Money Christmas’ Live Stream Performance and New Material
Yasiin Bey, the acclaimed rapper, singer, and actor, is set to return with “Money Christmas,” marking his first solo project in five years. This highly anticipated live-streamed performance is scheduled for December 15 at 7:00 PM GMT / 8:00 PM CET / 2:00 PM EST on his Bandcamp platform, available for $7.99. This event represents his first significant release since the introduction of his “Negus” sound installation in 2019.
The performance will feature new music from Bey, alongside artwork titled “Osanta Bin Lyin,” created in collaboration with Spanish-Moroccan artist Anuar Khalifi. Khalifi is a longstanding creative partner of Bey’s, having previously collaborated on live performances and the short film “Part of Me” in 2023. Both artists are represented by The Third Line Gallery in Dubai.
Additionally, the music from “Money Christmas” will soon be available on vinyl, further enriching Bey’s extensive artistic legacy.
