Eminem Praises Cardi B: “I Used to Be Like That”

Eminem expressed his admiration for Cardi B during a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45, celebrating the Bronx rapper’s unapologetic personality. The conversation took place on Christmas Day (December 25) as part of the Sirius XM channel’s 20th anniversary celebration.

Reflecting on Cardi’s early days, Whoo Kid noted how she would frequently visit the station, often sharing her love for Eminem. The legendary rapper reciprocated, stating, “I love Cardi too.” When Em’s manager, Paul Rosenberg, remarked on Cardi’s boldness, saying she “does not give a fuck,” Eminem agreed, adding, “Not one.” Rosenberg continued, highlighting Cardi’s straightforwardness, to which Eminem replied, “I used to be like that,” indicating a shared spirit of authenticity between the two artists.

Interestingly, in 2021, there were rumors that Cardi B had been rejected by Eminem when she sought a feature for her sophomore album. An Em fan account claimed he turned down the request, suggesting that Cardi “doesn’t care about the culture or her craft.” However, Cardi quickly dismissed the speculation, labeling it “BIG LIES” in a post on X (formerly Twitter). She clarified, “I haven’t sent no songs to no artist yet. Love his work and much respect. This don’t even make sense.”

Cardi further noted, “Since they like to make up LIES about me cause they’re so obsessed just know this y’all laughing about this fake rumor but wait until y’all see these next collabs.” While her anticipated sophomore album has yet to be released, Cardi has confirmed that the follow-up to her acclaimed 2018 debut, Invasion of Privacy, is expected to drop in 2025.

As Eminem continues to support his peers in the industry, fans remain excited about potential collaborations and future projects from both artists. Stay tuned to HipHopRaisedMeTheBlog.com for all the latest updates in hip-hop!
