Megan Thee Stallion Secures Five-Year Restraining Order Against Tory Lanez

Megan Thee Stallion has successfully obtained a five-year restraining order against Tory Lanez, citing ongoing harassment from him, even while he is incarcerated. Lanez, currently serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan in the feet in July 2020, is prohibited from contacting her or coming within 100 yards until at least January 9, 2030.

The restraining order was granted following a court hearing in Los Angeles, where Megan spoke about the emotional impact of Lanez’s alleged actions since the shooting. She expressed her desire to be free from harassment, stating, “I haven’t been at peace since I been shot.” She accused Lanez of hiring third-party bloggers to spread false information and undermine her credibility.

During her testimony, Megan became emotional as she revealed her struggles with anxiety and fear stemming from Lanez’s behavior. She recounted feeling unsafe and anxious in social situations, admitting that she rarely leaves her house except for work. She expressed her concerns about Lanez’s potential future actions, fearing that he might retaliate when he is released from prison.

Judge Richard Bloom, in granting the restraining order, referenced “several uncontroverted facts,” including the incident where Lanez shot multiple rounds at Megan, causing her injuries. Tory Lanez’s attorney criticized the ruling, claiming it unjustly restricts the rapper’s freedom of speech and is unwarranted given his current incarceration.

As the situation develops, the order marks a significant step in Megan’s ongoing battle for peace and safety following a traumatic experience.
