In a significant turn of events, YG has been exonerated from DUI charges stemming from an incident in Burbank, California, last October. The Burbank City Attorney’s Office has officially dismissed the misdemeanor DUI case, citing insufficient evidence as the reason for their decision.
YG’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, who also represents A$AP Rocky, revealed that the dismissal was largely due to the fact that the rapper was not inside his vehicle when authorities arrived on the scene. Police had initially spotted YG after he inadvertently drove over a curb, but found him standing outside of his car. While a breathalyzer test was not conducted, officers did collect a blood sample for analysis.

Beyond the courtroom, YG is set to expand his horizons in the entertainment industry. He will appear alongside Freddie Gibbs and WWE star CM Punk in the upcoming indie horror film “Night Patrol.” The film, directed by Ryan Prows, features a storyline centered around an LAPD officer who must confront a dangerous secret within a local police task force.
This isn’t YG’s first foray into acting; he has previously made appearances in film and television, including directing a short film for his 2014 album “Blame It On The Streets.” Additionally, the Compton artist has recently ventured into entrepreneurship with the launch of a male enhancement product named Cherry Bomb, which is marketed as a way to enhance physical appearance and improve sexual experiences.
With legal troubles behind him and new projects on the horizon, YG is poised for a promising chapter in both his music and acting careers.
