Tennessee rapper Young Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown, has been ordered to serve time in the Sumner County Jail due to repeated violations of his bond supervision. The decision was made during a hearing on Monday, where Assistant District Attorney Daniel Daugherty presented arguments for the bond revocation.
Following the hearing, a Criminal Court judge sentenced Brown to 30 days in jail. After completing his time, the judge will set a new bond, which she indicated would be stricter in order to ensure compliance moving forward.
Young Buck is facing a jury trial scheduled for July 24, where he will contend with several charges, including domestic assault, vandalism exceeding $10,000, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and three counts of violating an order of protection.
This is not the first time Brown has encountered legal issues. In 2020, he was booked into the Sumner County Jail on a $60,000 bond shortly after an incident in which his then-girlfriend allegedly fired a gun at him in Hendersonville.
No further details regarding the current situation have been released. Young Buck’s ongoing legal troubles highlight the challenges he faces as he navigates his career and personal life amidst the scrutiny of the justice system.
