Halle Bailey Files Restraining Order Against DDG Amid Allegations of Abuse and Threatening Behavior

In a shocking turn of events, actress and singer Halle Bailey has taken legal action against her ex-boyfriend, rapper DDG, alleging a pattern of abuse and threatening behavior that has left her feeling unsafe. Bailey filed a police report and secured a restraining order after claiming that DDG attacked her multiple times, with the most recent incidents escalating to physical violence.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the troubling situation began in January, following their breakup in October. Bailey recounts a distressing encounter when DDG came to pick up their child, Halo. As she attempted to discuss a visitation schedule, tensions flared. While she was buckling Halo into his car seat, DDG allegedly became agitated, repeatedly demanding she leave his car. This confrontation escalated into a physical struggle, during which Bailey claims DDG pulled her hair, slammed her face onto the steering wheel, and even chipped her tooth.

Despite the violence, Bailey remained concerned for their child’s well-being and chose to accompany DDG to his home. Once there, she informed his family about the incident before leaving in a state of distress, bearing visible bruises and a chipped tooth.

The situation further deteriorated in March when DDG reportedly entered Bailey’s home without permission and sent her a text with a photo of her empty bed, insinuating infidelity. Just days later, after Bailey expressed that she and Halo were unwell and requested he not take their son, DDG allegedly became verbally abusive, smashed her Ring camera, and fled with her phone—throwing it out of the car window while yelling at her.

The culmination of these events prompted Bailey to file a police report, supported by Ring footage that corroborates her claims. The rapper had previously expressed on social media that he had been struggling to see Halo, which adds another layer of complexity to their tumultuous relationship.

The final straw for Bailey came while she was vacationing with Halo and her sister in St. Lucia. DDG texted her links to social media posts suggesting she was with singer Brent Faiyaz, prompting Bailey to respond firmly, denying any wrongdoing and asking for peace on Mother’s Day.

In light of these accusations, a judge has granted Bailey a domestic violence restraining order, requiring DDG to maintain a distance of 100 yards from her and prohibiting him from posting or streaming about her or their child. This court order also allows Bailey to take Halo to Italy for a film shoot over the next two months.

As the situation unfolds, the public awaits a response from DDG’s camp regarding these serious allegations. The case highlights the troubling dynamics of celebrity relationships, particularly when issues of abuse and control come to the forefront. Bailey’s actions signal a commitment to her safety and the well-being of her child amidst a highly publicized and distressing situation.
