Multiplatinum rap recording artist Rick Ross will perform at a show in Harrisburg next year, Harrisburg University announced Tuesday.
The show is planned for 8 p.m. on Saturday May 6, 2023 at club XL Live, 801 South 10th Street. Tickets cost $60 and are general admission.
Pre-sale tickets are expected to go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23 and tickets for the general public will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. Friday Nov. 25, according to a university press release.
People who sign up for the university’s concert email list can get the pre-sale code, according to the Harrisburg University Presents Facebook page.
It is the first show in the capital city for the Miami rapper and mogul in more than a decade. He has helped boost the career of fellow artists, including Philadelphia native Meek Mill. But Ross and Mill reportedly were in a dispute last year over terms of Mill’s contract with Ross’ label.
Ross, known as “The Biggest Boss,” released his 11th album last year called “Richer Than I Ever Been.” He also released a book last year, “The Perfect Day to Boss Up,” a guide on how to build an empire.
Some of his prior solo albums include: God Forgives, I Don’t (2012,) Deeper Than Rap (2009,) Teflon Don (2010), and classic team efforts with his Maybach Music Group, Self Made Vol. 1 and 2.
