A man claiming to be Shawn Carter’s son pulls out more “receipts.”
As reported on Hip Hop DX, Rymir Satterthwaite, 30, says Jay Z is his dad and took his case to the NJ Supreme Court. Satterthwaite accused Hov of “misusing the legal system” for a decade to avoid taking a paternity test.
To further Satterthwaite’s mission to prove he’s Jay Z’s son, he presented an alleged an affidavit that his mother, Wanda, signed. The document was signed in 2019 before she passed away. Wanda was 16 and Jay was allegedly 22 at the time. According to the affidavit, Wanda says she met the “Big Pimpin” rapper through mutual friends.
Wanda also says on the night Satterthwait was conceived in 1992, it was at Jigga’s aunt’s apartment in Brooklyn. She claims the condom broke.
Around that time, Jay Z wasn’t the mogul we know him as today. His debut album was Reasonable Doubt, released in 1996. In the affidavit, Wanda said:
“Shawn asked me to leave with him, but I told him I could not because my mother would be upset. I never saw him again until a year later on television, but I had no idea of his real name until later and did not know how to reach him.”
Satterthwaite says he’s been trying to prove he’s Hov’s “secret child” for over a decade. He wants a judge to court order Jay Z to submit his DNA. The alleged son says he’s not interested in Hov’s fortune, but simply wants his acknowledgment. Satterthwaite is confident he will win and said, “I won’t stop fighting for this until I win. And I will win because the law is on our side.”
Jay Z’s attorneys deny the claims. They responded:
“The allegations have been previously reviewed thoroughly by the courts and have been refuted. I am sure that will be the outcome of whatever filings Mr. Satterthwaite is [or] may be currently considering.”
