BIG SEAN FLIPS THREE 6 MAFIA CLASSIC AS HE SHARES FIRST TASTE OF NEW ALBUM

Big Sean has flipped the script on an iconic Three 6 Mafia record for his new single, “Precision.”

On Thursday (August 31), a minute-long snippet of the song debuted in a trailer for NBA 2K24‘s game mode, The City. The game itself hits shelves on September 8 and features the late Kobe Bryant on the cover.

Throughout “Precision,” Sean Don can be heard spitting slick bars while the Memphis group’s 2005 anthem “Poppin’ My Collar” serves as the sonic anchor for the high-energy record.

According to the video’s description, the track will appear on Big Sean’s upcoming sixth album, details of which have yet to be announced.

It’s also unclear as of press time when “Precision” will be officially released, but fans can pre-save the song on their preferred streaming platform here.

Big Sean is far the only rapper that has been involved in the NBA 2K universe. Last year, J. Cole became the first Hip Hop artist to cover the popular basketball video game franchise when he appeared on the front of the DREAMER Edition.

The North Carolina rap star also appeared in the game, serving as a central character in the MyCAREER story mode alongside fellow Dreamville representatives Bas and Elite.

One cut-scene allowed 2K gamers to hit the studio with Cole and hear a brand new verse from the man himself.

“I Just got back the UK/ PJ, in and out, quick little two-day, I ain’t even pack up a suitcase/ Just threw some shit in a gym bag, you know me, I’m a gym rat/ All I wanna do is ball, catch me on T I’ma spin that,” he rapped over a hard-hitting beat.

The former high school basketball standout was later joined by Lil Wayne, Jack Harlow, Lil Durk and Lil Yachty, who were all added as playable characters in the game.
