Lil Wayne has released a new song, “Kat Food,” produced by Charlie Handsome, FNZ, and seven-time Grammy nominee Rogét Chahayed. A slot at the VMAs is the latest in a long line of performances this year for Lil Wayne, who wrapped up a North American tour in May and took the stage at Yankee Stadium in June as part of a stacked concert celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. He released his most recent solo studio album, Funeral, in 2020. He also shared the song “Kant Nobody,” which featured a posthumous verse from DMX, in February; it earned him a VMA nomination for Best Hip-Hop. He was also honored with a Global Impact Award at the 2023 Grammy Awards
