Doja Cat has dropped off her new “Balut” single and fans are loving the gritty rhymes to the point they think she should join the Griselda army.
On Friday (September 15), the L.A. rapper returned with the bar-heavy “Balut” for her final offering before her new album Scarlet arrives next week (September 22)
The 27-year-old rides the dusty Yeti Beats production and brags about her hitmaking ability and unique repertoire as an artist.
“Is it coke? Is it crack? Is it meth/ What the fuck do she put in them hits/ I’m the shit, you a real piece of shit/ I am needed, you a real needy bitch/ I’m competing, you are incompetent
You are fleeting ’cause you can’t copy this,” she raps.

Many of Doja’s rap fans welcomed the sight of the Planet Her hitmaker barring up and some believe there’s a seat for her on the Griselda roster.
“This new DOJA CAT song going crazy rn this the GRISELDA type sh*t y’all wanted,” one person wrote, while another added on Twitter: “For some reason, it wouldn’t surprise me if Doja Cat got Griselda to hop on a remix for ‘Balut.’”
A third fan chimed in: “@DojaCat on a Griselda project would be tough highkey.”
A lot of the Doja and Griselda momentum has been tied to Westside Gunn professing his love for the Grammy winner.
Although she’s been romantically linked to comedian and pop musician Jeffery “J” Cyrus and went on a dinner date with Quavo, Gunn has expressed he wants to make Doja his girlfriend.
I’m not gonna hold u I wanna steal @DojaCat from that weird looking gamer dude they be saying racist [crying face emoji],” he wrote while shooting his shot on Twitter in July.
“And take her to the hood so she can wear all that krazy Shìt, have her eating at DR Birds with a bald head and patent leather sundress, y’all wouldn’t be able to tell me shit.”
Meanwhile, Doja Cat is gearing up for the arrival of her aforementioned Scarlet LP next Friday, which will go head to head with Drake’s For All the Dogs for the top spot on the Billboard 200.
She will then hit the road for The Scarlet Tour with Ice Spice and Doechii.
