6ix9ine Released From Jail After 45-Day Stint For Probation Violation

6ix9ine has officially been released from jail after serving a 45-day sentence for violating the terms of his probation. His return home comes with a strict set of conditions that will govern his behavior moving forward.
According to reports, the controversial rapper was freed from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on December 12, with a one-year extension of his probation. He is now subject to a home-stay order, electronic monitoring, and several other stipulations, including the requirement to maintain a full-time “lawful” job, which could present challenges for his career as a rapper.
On his first day out, a video shared by DJ Akademiks showed 6ix9ine being picked up in a sprinter van, sparking speculation about his next moves in the music industry.
6ix9ine had been sentenced to 45 days behind bars on November 13, which exceeded the 30-day term that prosecutors had sought. His multiple probation violations included testing positive for meth, unauthorized travel to Las Vegas, and failing to comply with drug testing requests. In court, Judge Paul Engelmayer expressed his dismay at 6ix9ine’s repeated violations, stating, “Your breach of the court’s trust is profound. Five violations say to me that you believe the rules don’t apply to you.”
In response, 6ix9ine pleaded for leniency, claiming, “I make a lot of mistakes, but I’m not a bad person.” The judge warned him that any future violations could result in harsher sentences, emphasizing the seriousness of his situation.
The rapper’s trip to Las Vegas was initially defended by his lawyer, who argued that it was for a performance and that 6ix9ine believed he had informed the appropriate authorities. However, he ultimately pled guilty to the offense. This probation stems from 6ix9ine’s 2019 sentencing after he pleaded guilty to charges of racketeering, firearms offenses, and drug trafficking, which resulted in a two-year prison sentence followed by five years of supervised release.
This latest arrest occurred shortly after 6ix9ine signed a new deal with Kartel Music Group, which included stipulations against any legal issues or online conflicts during the contract’s duration. It remains uncertain how this recent incident will affect that agreement.
