Kanye West Accuses Adidas of Exploiting Him in Fiery Instagram Rant

Kanye West, known for his outspoken nature, has once again stirred the pot with a scathing Instagram post aimed at Adidas. The rapper, who has had a tumultuous relationship with the brand, expressed his frustrations following their split, claiming that Adidas continues to profit from his Yeezy brand despite their severed ties.

In his lengthy rant, West highlighted that a simple Google search of “Yeezy.com” reveals that the Adidas website appears before his own, accusing the company of undermining his brand. “Stop doing your moves to hold me back. Our partnership is done,” he declared, emphasizing his belief that Adidas is intentionally sabotaging his financial stability. “You’re a 60 billion dollar company that froze my accounts,” he stated, underscoring the gravity of his grievances.

West also voiced his frustrations about alleged design theft, claiming that Adidas and fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo have failed to give him the credit and compensation he deserves for his creative contributions. He described Lorenzo as “corny and disloyal” for collaborating with Adidas after their fallout. West further asserted that the brand merely sought to use him to enhance their sales and creative reputation without any genuine intention of collaboration. “They wanted to use the king. Get paid, more than they would get paid anywhere else,” he lamented.

This outburst comes on the heels of Adidas’ attempts to move past the controversy surrounding their partnership. In October, Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden stated that the “drama” involving West was a thing of the past and indicated plans to sell remaining Yeezy stock by 2025. However, West’s recent comments suggest that unresolved issues still linger.

In a hopeful note, West revealed that he has been actively working on new Yeezy designs, teasing fans with the promise of “Yeezy for the people.” As tensions between the rapper and the brand continue, it remains to be seen how this public feud will unfold.
