The tracklist for Mac Miller’s highly anticipated posthumous album Balloonerism has been revealed ahead of its release later this month. This album marks the late rapper’s second posthumous project following his tragic passing from a drug overdose in 2018.
Balloonerism consists of 14 tracks and features just one notable collaboration: SZA on the track “DJ’s Chord Organ.” Additionally, the album includes a feature from Delusional Thomas, Mac’s quirky alter ego, known from his self-titled mixtape released in 2013. The first single from the album, titled “5 Dollar Pony Rides,” is set to drop on January 9.

Scheduled for release on January 17, Balloonerism arrives exactly five years after Circles and just two days before what would have been Mac Miller’s 33rd birthday.
Mac’s family shared that the album was initially crafted in 2014 and held significant importance to him. They indicated that discussions about its release were ongoing, but it ultimately took a backseat to other projects, such as GO:OD AM. They expressed that releasing Balloonerism was essential due to its significance to Mac and the unofficial versions circulating online over the years.
Pre-orders for physical copies of Balloonerism are available on Mac Miller’s official website, offering a variety of formats including CDs, cassettes, and vinyl. A special deluxe vinyl edition features exclusive collectibles like a 3D pop-up centerfold, a fold-out poster, and a 32-page booklet filled with photos and lyrics.
Quentin Cuff, Mac’s longtime manager, described Balloonerism in The Book of Mac: Remembering Mac Miller as a project filled with “very zany” and “otherworldly” creations, showcasing the artist’s unique musical style and creativity. As fans eagerly await the album’s release, Balloonerism promises to be a significant addition to Mac Miller’s legacy.
