Busta Rhymes has been honored with the prestigious President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his significant contributions to the community. Announced on January 30, 2025, Busta shared the news via Instagram, expressing gratitude for being selected among a select group of honorees.
In his post, he highlighted the honor as a testament to his work as an international hip-hop artist, entrepreneur, and humanitarian, stating, “THE BLESSINGS DON’T STOP SO WE WON’T EVER STOP!!” Busta’s excitement is palpable as he thanks @MyHCU.Education and his brother King @amadeuspbm for their support.
This accolade comes shortly after the release of his latest project, Dragon Season… The Awakening, which features six tracks with contributions from artists like YG Marley and producers such as Roc Marciano and Rockwilder.
However, the legendary rapper is also facing legal troubles, having been charged with misdemeanor assault following an altercation with his personal assistant, Dashiel Gables. The incident, which escalated over a disagreement about phone use during work hours, resulted in Gables sustaining an eye injury. Busta turned himself into the NYPD and is set to appear in court on February 2.
Despite the challenges, Busta Rhymes continues to celebrate his achievements and contributions to the community, embodying resilience and determination.
