City of Raleigh Secures Multi-Year Deal for New Dreamville Music Festival

Raleigh is set to welcome a new music festival, thanks to a recently announced multi-year agreement between Dreamville and city officials. This partnership will bring a new festival under the Dreamville label to Dix Park, with plans for the event to take place over the next four years.

Sascha Stone Guttfreund, a promoter for Dreamville Festival and Live National Entertainment, expressed excitement about the long-term commitment, stating, “We’re going to be here for years to come.” Although an official name for the festival has yet to be revealed, the collaboration aims to build on the success of previous events in the area.

City Manager Marshall Adams-Davis emphasized the importance of providing an experience that aligns with what the community enjoys. “Our consumers have told us what they like, and we’re going to try to provide that to them for the next four years,” he said.

Ibrahim Hamad, co-founder of Dreamville and J. Cole’s manager, referred to the festival as a “family reunion,” highlighting its significance to both the local community and attendees from around the globe. He noted that even though he is not originally from North Carolina, the festival has made the area feel like a second home to him.

Local residents have also voiced their support for the festival, recognizing its positive impact on the city and local businesses. Devin Farmer, a festival attendee, shared, “It’s just the energy and the vibes. Everything there, it just feels different. It brings a lot of energy to the city.”

Safety measures for the festival were also discussed, with Adams-Davis affirming that ensuring attendees get home safely is a top priority. “Safety is always paramount,” he stated, adding that measures taken help create a fun and secure environment for festival-goers.

As preparations ramp up, Dix Park will be temporarily closed to the public starting Friday at 10 p.m. and will reopen on Monday at 6 a.m. For more information on the festival, including lineups and ticket details, visit the 2025 Dreamville Festival Guide on WRAL.com.
