In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Ciara opened up about her husband Russell Wilson’s persistent requests to expand their family. The couple currently shares four children, and Ciara made it clear that she is not ready to make it five.
“Let me tell you, someone needs to take my husband’s phone right now, okay? Because he needs to stop,” Ciara joked with host Zuri Hall. She recounted her experience after giving birth to their daughter, Amora, saying, “Listen, Amora came out and he started talking about ‘Cinco?’ I’m like, ‘That’s just disrespectful. Do you know what I just went through?’”
Despite her playful frustration, Ciara acknowledged Wilson’s humorous approach, adding, “He is so funny. He’s got a great campaign going, I’m not gonna lie. Yeah, the people are following Rus. They’re all team Rus, like wait, y’all not gonna have a little love and sympathy for my ovaries over here [and] for my uterus?”
Wilson has been vocal about his desire to grow their family on social media. Recently, Ciara shared a lively video of herself dancing at Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival celebration, to which Wilson responded, “This is my mating call, I see… Keep sippin’ on that @tentoonerum… Cinco gonna be on the way!”
Ciara humorously replied with laughing emojis, requesting, “Someone come take my husband’s phone, please.”
The New York Giants quarterback has been teasing the idea of a fifth child for months. In March, he commented on a dance rehearsal photo of Ciara, asking, “Hey Baby, question… what color wallpaper do you want for Cinco?” This followed earlier comments he made last October, where he playfully expressed his readiness for another child after Ciara posted photos in a stylish all-black leather outfit.
Currently, the couple has four children: Sienna Princess Wilson (born April 28, 2017), Win Harrison Wilson (born July 23, 2020), and Amora Princess Wilson (born December 11, 2023). Ciara also has a son, Future Zahir Wilburn (born July 23, 2014), whom she shares with rapper Future, and who is raised alongside Wilson.
As the couple navigates parenthood, it seems that while Russell might be eager for more kids, Ciara is content with their growing family as it stands.
