The induction ceremony, set for November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, will be streamed live on Disney+, with an ABC special to follow.
OutKast, known for their innovative approach to hip-hop, brought attention to Southern rap in the mid-1990s and will be recognized for their extensive contributions to the genre. Cyndi Lauper, celebrated for her chart-topping hits and advocacy for LGBTQ rights, coincidentally receives her induction during her farewell tour.
Other notable inductees include Bad Company, Chubby Checker, and Joe Cocker, all of whom have earned their place in rock history with memorable hits and influential careers. The class also honors musical innovators like Salt-N-Pepa, who played a pivotal role in bringing hip-hop to mainstream audiences, and Warren Zevon, known for his unique storytelling through music.
With this latest class, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame continues to broaden its recognition of artists from various genres, ensuring that the legacy of rock and roll encompasses a rich tapestry of musical innovation and cultural impact.
