In a shocking incident, rapper Tory Lanez is currently hospitalized in critical condition after being viciously attacked by another inmate at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. Reports confirm that Lanez was stabbed 14 times, sustaining severe injuries that included collapsed lungs.
The brutal assault occurred early Monday morning when the inmate wielded a prison shank, inflicting multiple wounds across Lanez’s body. Specifically, he was stabbed seven times in the back, four times in the torso, and twice in the back of the head, with an additional wound on the left side of his face.
Following the attack, Lanez was rushed to a local hospital, where his condition was deemed serious enough to necessitate airlifting to Kern Medical Hospital. Initially placed on a breathing apparatus due to his collapsed lungs, he is now reportedly breathing on his own. His attorney, Jose Baez, shared that Lanez is recovering well and remains optimistic about his future. Known legally as Daystar Peterson, Lanez is currently serving a 10-year sentence after being convicted in 2022 for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
