In a surprising turn of events, rapper Flo Milli has canceled her performance at Summerfest, where she was scheduled to open for headliner Megan Thee Stallion on June 28. The announcement came less than five hours before the show was set to start, with Summerfest officials citing “weather-related travel issues” as the reason for her absence.
The cancellation was confirmed via social media, leaving fans disappointed, as Flo Milli had been anticipated to bring her energetic performance to the American Family Insurance Amphitheater stage. In light of her cancellation, two DJs—Travvy Trav and DJ Bone—have been announced as the new opening acts for Megan Thee Stallion, who is set to take the stage at 8:45 p.m.
This year, Summerfest has experienced a series of last-minute cancellations, prompting the talent-buying team to work diligently to secure replacement acts. Previous replacements included Bow Wow stepping in for Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony and Yung Gravy filling in for Whiskey Myers, among others. However, none of the other cancellations were announced with such short notice as Flo Milli’s.
Despite the disappointment for fans attending Summerfest, many Milwaukeeans had the opportunity to see Flo Milli perform in recent months. She previously made headlines with a short performance at a Kamala Harris presidential rally in November and surprised attendees as a guest at T-Pain’s fourth annual Wiscansin Fest earlier this month.
As the festival continues, fans will look forward to Megan Thee Stallion’s performance, while also hoping for future appearances from Flo Milli in the area.
