According to the photographer, Isaa Mansoor, he was hired to shoot video for the owner of The Ivy, a popular event venue, when he noticed Trey Songz arriving with a large entourage. Mansoor was instructed by the venue’s owner to capture footage of Trey as he performed and mingled with the crowd, with the understanding that Trey was aware of the presence of photographers at the event.
Tensions escalated during the night when a dispute broke out between Trey and some individuals in the crowd. Following the altercation, Mansoor reports that Trey grew increasingly agitated by fans requesting photos and videos.
As the event concluded, the owner asked Mansoor to take one final picture of Trey next to The Ivy’s logo. While filming, Isaa alleges that Trey attacked him, striking him on the side of the head, throwing him against a wall, and damaging two of his cameras in the process. Witnessing the altercation, the venue owner intervened, telling Trey, “That’s my guy.” However, Trey allegedly responded aggressively, saying, “I don’t give a f***,” and confronting the owner.
After the incident, Mansoor fled to his friend’s car and subsequently contacted the police to report the assault. He later went to a hospital where he underwent a CT scan and X-rays due to the injuries he sustained. Medical professionals diagnosed him with a concussion, migraine, and ankle pain, providing him with pain relief medication.
Mansoor has since filed a police report, and law enforcement officials have confirmed that they are actively investigating the incident. As of now, attempts to reach out to Trey Songz’s representatives for comment have gone unanswered.
