Upon its release, “Till Death Do Us Part” received positive reviews and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on May 10, 1993, for selling over 500,000 copies in the U.S. The album peaked at number 11 on the Billboard 200 and reached the top of the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, solidifying the Geto Boys’ place in hip-hop history.
