Allan Mueses, known for his role on “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” and as the father of Amara La Negra’s twin daughters, is facing serious allegations after being charged with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct in a reopened case from over a decade ago.
The 40-year-old reality star was extradited from Miami to Michigan, where he was arraigned on July 28th in Kalamazoo’s 8th District Court. The charges stem from allegations that date back to March 2010, when Mueses was a foreign exchange student at Western Michigan University.
According to prosecutors, the alleged victim, who was 20 years old at the time, met Mueses at a campus recreation center before going to his apartment, where the assault allegedly took place. In a testimony heard in court last week, the woman recounted that during the incident, Mueses told her to “think about this every night” as he assaulted her. Although she reported the incident to campus police and underwent a forensic medical exam, no charges were filed at that time.
The case was revitalized under Michigan’s Sexual Assault Kit Initiative, which aims to reevaluate older investigations that may not have been fully pursued. Mueses was arrested in Florida on July 11th and is now facing significant legal repercussions.
As this case develops, it has sparked discussions about accountability and the importance of addressing sexual assault allegations, no matter how much time has passed since the incidents occurred.
