Rapper Skrilla, born Jemille Edwards, was arrested over the weekend for allegedly shooting a police officer with a toy gun during a music video shoot in Philadelphia. The incident occurred on Saturday night, August 16, in the Kensington area of the city.
Footage captured during the event shows Skrilla brandishing a toy gun and shooting at an off-camera target, much to the dismay of onlookers. Shortly after, a group of officers called him into the street, where he was handcuffed and taken into custody.
According to reports from Fox 29, Skrilla shot a police officer in the face and neck with gel pellets from the toy gun. As a result, he has been charged with assault on police and related offenses.
