One of the standout tracks on Man Up includes a creative flip of Patrice Rushen’s classic “Forget Me Nots,” reimagined as “California Dreamin’.” Additionally, the album features Quake Matthews, a Nova Scotia artist who earned his spot on the project through a fan verse challenge, contributing to the track “It’s My Ego 3Mix.”
Cube’s motivation for creating Man Up stems from his desire to see men take charge and face societal issues head-on, challenging the notion of complacency. He stated, “It’s about men not accepting nonsense and speaking up and not just taking a backseat letting other people take the lead. We gotta take the lead.”
To support the album, Ice Cube is hitting the road for the Four Decades of Attitude Tour, which begins on September 16 in Denver. The tour will take him to major cities across North America, including Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles, and Chicago, allowing fans to experience his new material live.
