New Music Alert: Infinite Coles, Son of Ghostface Killah, Set to Release Singles “SweetFace Killah” and “Dad & I”

Infinite Coles, the son of legendary Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah, is gearing up to make a significant impact in the music scene with the release of his two highly anticipated singles, “SweetFace Killah” and “Dad & I.” Both tracks serve as a prelude to his debut album, also titled SweetFace Killah, which is slated for release on December 5.

Growing up under the shadow of his illustrious father, Coles has long felt the weight of expectations and scrutiny. However, he is determined to carve out his own identity and voice in the industry. In an exclusive interview with VIBE, Infinite expressed his desire for listeners to see him for who he truly is, stating, “I have hope people see me for me. With this album, I plan to really take off. I feel like it’s my time — something beautiful is headed my way.”

The singles “SweetFace Killah” and “Dad & I” delve into deeply personal themes, particularly Infinite’s complicated relationship with his father. He reveals that he has not seen or spoken to Ghostface Killah in over a decade. In “Dad & I,” Infinite addresses this estrangement candidly, singing poignant lines like, “Dad and I don’t see eye to eye / I love you but I think that you be carrying.” The song captures the emotional struggle of wanting a connection while grappling with unresolved feelings.

The titular track “SweetFace Killah” flips the narrative of a nickname that was initially hurled at him as a homophobic slur, transforming pain into power. Infinite recalls, “At first, I was depressed… but then I was like, wait — they kinda ate that. So now that’s my album name.” He describes the alter ego he created from this experience as “strong and powerful,” using it to assert his identity and confront both his critics and his father through bold lyrics and an infectious beat.

The music videos for both singles further amplify their themes. The video for “SweetFace Killah,” directed by Infinite’s longtime collaborator Ugly Worldwide, showcases him confidently performing in striking visuals, complete with braids, all-black attire, and red leather gloves, embodying the fierce energy of his message. Meanwhile, the video for “Dad & I” takes on a more somber tone, reminiscent of the ’90s hip-hop and soul era, featuring Infinite at a long table symbolizing the emotional distance between him and his father.

Infinite emphasizes that despite the challenges, he holds no hate toward his father; rather, he hopes they can reconnect and understand each other. He candidly shares, “I have no hate towards my father at all. I just wish we could connect and understand one another… I always wonder if he’s okay.”

With a total of twelve tracks on the upcoming album, listeners can expect a diverse range of sounds, from high-energy bangers like “DMs” and “Shoot” to reflective songs such as “Mama Song,” “Thankful,” and “Body Strong.” Earlier singles like “BGM” and “Boots Ballroom C*nt Mix,” featuring Maleigh Zan & Julz, have already garnered attention and acclaim.

Infinite Coles is poised to make a significant mark in the music world with his authentic storytelling and unique sound. As he prepares for the release of SweetFace Killah, fans are encouraged to check out his new singles “Dad & I” and “SweetFace Killah,” which drop at midnight on September 17.
