Doja Cat has officially unveiled the tracklist for her highly anticipated fifth studio album, Vie, set to be released on September 26, 2025. The announcement comes just one week before the album drops, building excitement among fans eager to hear what the Grammy-winning artist has in store.
The 15-track project includes the previously released lead single “Jealous Type,” which has already made waves on the charts, reaching No. 3 on the Hot Dance/Pop Songs and No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. Doja performed “Jealous Type” live at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, where she dazzled the audience alongside saxophonist Kenny G. While “Jealous Type” was nominated for Song of the Summer at the VMAs, Doja ultimately took home the award for Best K-Pop along with LISA and RAYE for their collaboration “Born Again.”
One notable aspect of Vie is that it features no collaborations, mirroring the approach of her last studio album, Scarlet. This trend marks a return to her roots, as her debut EP Purrr! also included no features. The extended version of Scarlet, however, introduced collaborations with artists such as A$AP Rocky and Teezo Touchdown, showcasing her versatility.
Doja Cat has described Vie as a “pop-driven project” and revealed in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that she worked with renowned producer Jack Antonoff for the first time. “I think it’s just been nice to play. I really played through the whole thing … I think what I wanted to do was play with my voice in ways that are a little bit less unconventional,” she shared. This playful approach hints at a fresh sound, with Doja experimenting with her vocal delivery throughout the album.
