Album Announcement: Black Thought Hypes Up ‘Streams Of Thought Vol. 4’ as His Opus

Black Thought is set to make waves with his upcoming album, Streams Of Thought Vol. 4, which he has confidently dubbed his “opus.” During a recent conversation with Redman for Rolling Stone’s “Musicians On Musicians” series, the legendary Roots lyricist shared insights about the highly anticipated project, igniting excitement among fans.

In his own words, Black Thought expressed, “In many ways, I feel like it’s my opus. It has the most features, the most elaborate beats, crazy samples.” He also addressed the lengthy delay behind the album, which is part of the series of solo efforts he began releasing in 2018, with the most recent installment, Streams of Thought Vol. 3, dropping in 2020. “Part of that is the problem, trying to get all this stuff cleared,” he explained, referring to the often-complicated sample clearance process.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting Streams of Thought Vol. 4, and Black Thought previously teased some of the exciting features to come. He mentioned collaborating with familiar names like Pharoahe Monch and Yasiin Bey, along with Redman and Fabolous for an East Coast vibe. He’s also brought in talents like Tobe Nwigwe, Big K.R.I.T., Curren$y, Rick Ross, and JID, emphasizing that only artists who can hold their own will join him on this project.

Particularly exciting is his collaboration with Yasiin Bey, with whom he has developed undeniable chemistry over the years. “’Blaaaaack!’ became the first song I recorded, me and Yasiin Bey,” he noted, calling it a “timeless classic” that has been in his vault for years.

Unlike the previous three volumes, which were produced by 9th Wonder, Salaam Remi, and Sean C, this latest installment is entirely produced by 14KT, a Detroit-bred producer known for his work with artists like Jay Electronica and Skyzoo.

As fans eagerly anticipate the release of Streams of Thought Vol. 4, it’s clear that Black Thought is ready to make a significant impact with this project. For more updates on album announcements and hip-hop culture, be sure to visit hiphopraisedmetheblog.com!
