The highly anticipated Verzuz battle between No Limit Records and Cash Money Records took place on October 25, 2025, at ComplexCon in Las Vegas, and it was a night to remember. Cash Money won the coin toss and came out swinging with early hits from Juvenile, Big Tymers (Birdman & Mannie Fresh), Hot Boyz, and BG. However, the notable absence of Lil Wayne and Turk was disappointing for fans, leaving a significant void in Cash Money’s lineup.
No Limit stormed the stage with their anthem “No Limit Soldiers,” showcasing a roster full of their greatest artists, including Silkk the Shocker, Mia X, Mac, Choppa, Fiend, and more. The night was further elevated by a special appearance and performance from Snoop Dogg, adding to the excitement and nostalgia as both labels performed numerous hits from the ’90s and 2000s.
While it may have been a win for New Orleans in terms of representation, this was still a fierce battle. In my opinion, a lot of No Limit’s underground and mainstream hits have aged much better than Cash Money’s. Although Cash Money has timeless classics that took fans back to an era when they dominated the charts, it was clear that No Limit’s more aggressive lyrics gave them the edge in this matchup.
The night went smoothly until Birdman made a disrespectful remark about Turk, which added an unexpected layer of tension to the event.
Overall, based on performance, crowd control, and the ability to rap over vocals, I would give this Verzuz battle 3.5 syringes 💉 out of 5.
It was a celebration of hip-hop history, but the clash of styles ultimately highlighted No Limit’s impact and legacy in the genre. For more in-depth reviews and updates on hip-hop culture, be sure to visit hiphopraisedmetheblog.com!
