National News: Gruesome Chainsaw Killing in New Jersey – Family Charged in Shocking Murder Case

In a chilling crime that has sent shockwaves through the community, Everton Thomas, 41, has been charged with the first-degree murder of Harold “Hal” Miller, 48, in New Jersey. The case takes a horrifying turn as Thomas reportedly enlisted the help of his wife, Sherrie Parker, 41, and their son, Deshawn Thomas, 22, in a gruesome attempt to cover up the murder by butchering the victim’s body with a chainsaw.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Miller was reported missing in June after spending time playing cards with friends. Surveillance footage and cell phone data indicated that he entered the Thomas residence in Camden, New Jersey, but he was never seen leaving. The footage captured the sound of a single gunshot, leading investigators to believe that he was fatally shot by Everton.

Authorities allege that after the shooting, Everton was seen moving Miller’s vehicle and parking it four miles away in Pennsauken, New Jersey. The investigation revealed that Parker and Everton purchased a chainsaw, containers, trash bags, and other cleaning supplies, suggesting a premeditated effort to dispose of the body.

In a series of arrests, Everton and Sherrie were apprehended in Camden, while Deshawn was captured at the U.S.-Canada border after attempting to flee to Canada. He is currently awaiting extradition back to New Jersey.
