
Nicki Minaj may find herself parting ways with her luxurious $20 million mansion if she fails to settle a legal dispute with a former security guard, who claims he is owed $500,000 following an alleged assault.
The situation stems from an incident that occurred during a 2019 concert in Frankfurt, Germany, where Thomas Weidenmuller, the security guard in question, alleges that Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, assaulted him, resulting in a broken jaw that required multiple surgeries. After the couple did not respond to the lawsuit filed against them, Weidenmuller secured a default judgment in his favor, but has yet to receive any payment.

During a recent court session in Los Angeles, Judge Cindy Pánuco indicated she is prepared to facilitate the sale of Minaj’s Hidden Hills property to satisfy the judgment. The judge mentioned that the only remaining document needed to proceed is a mortgage statement from Bank of America to determine the outstanding balance on Minaj’s $13.3 million loan. A follow-up hearing is scheduled for January 22, where the judge’s decision will be finalized.
Despite the potential loss of her mansion, which is documented as her sole property since her purchase in October 2022, Minaj would still stand to retain a significant amount of money post-sale. Judge Pánuco’s decision to consider such an extreme measure underscores the gravity of the situation, as Weidenmuller’s application argues that selling the property would cover the entire judgment amount.
Minaj has not publicly addressed the ongoing legal issues. The altercation reportedly occurred after a fan breached security at her concert, leading Weidenmuller to intervene, which he claims prompted Petty to retaliate violently.
In addition to this lawsuit, Minaj is also facing another legal challenge from her former tour manager, Brandon Garrett, who alleges she physically assaulted him. Minaj has denied these claims through her legal representation.
