Nearly two years after the tragic murder of Los Angeles rapper Chris King, Nashville authorities are intensifying their search for the final suspect connected to his untimely death. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department has identified 32-year-old Trayvon Palmer as the last remaining individual wanted in the April 2024 robbery-turned-homicide that claimed the life of the rising artist.
Investigators believe Palmer fled Tennessee shortly after the shooting and is currently evading capture in the Los Angeles area. He is facing serious charges, including first-degree murder, robbery, and weapons offenses, all stemming from the fatal incident that occurred outside a Midtown Nashville recording studio. The police have issued a call for anyone with information regarding Palmer’s whereabouts to step forward, as the search continues to gain momentum.
Two other suspects involved in the murder are already in custody. Amir Carroll, 20, was arrested in Nashville in February, while Adrian Cameron Jr., also 20, was apprehended in Los Angeles in May following a year-long manhunt. Both men are currently awaiting trial on first-degree murder charges.
The tragic shooting took place on April 20, 2024, around 2:30 A.M. King, who had been recording music nearby, was confronted by three men attempting to rob him and his friends as they pulled into an alley. During the confrontation, shots were fired, resulting in King’s death at the scene, while one of his friends survived the attack.
Chris King’s passing sent shockwaves through the hip-hop community and deeply affected his collaborators. Despite being early in his career, King had already established strong connections in the industry, having previously lived with pop star Justin Bieber and collaborated with artists such as Trippie Redd. His peers mourned his loss, celebrating his creative contributions and the promise he held.
As authorities work diligently to locate Palmer, King’s family, friends, and supporters remain hopeful that his arrest will bring them closer to achieving justice for the beloved artist. The Nashville Police Department has urged anyone who sees Trayvon Palmer or has information about him to contact local law enforcement or the United States Marshal’s Service.
