Donald Trump has expressed his outrage online in response to the Department of Justice’s announcement of over 1 million additional documents related to the late Jeffrey Epstein. The recently discovered documents, which include grand jury transcripts, internal memos, flight logs, and various other materials, were uncovered by FBI agents and federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York. In a furious post on Truth Social, Trump stated, “Now 1,000,000 more pages on Epstein are found. DOJ is being forced to spend all of its time on this Democrat inspired Hoax. When do they say NO MORE and work on Election Fraud etc.? The Dems are the ones who worked with Epstein, not the Republicans. Release all of their names, embarrass them, and get back to helping our Country! The Radical Left doesn’t want people talking about TRUMP & REPUBLICAN SUCCESS, only a long-ago dead Jeffrey Epstein – Just another Witch Hunt!!!”
This outcry comes shortly after the DOJ missed a December 19 deadline to release the documents under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Trump himself signed into law in 2020. Officials have now indicated they need “a few more weeks” to complete the redactions, with plans to release the files in stages.
In a lengthy Christmas Day message, Trump also addressed the Epstein matter, remarking, “Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth.” He accused these individuals of turning on Epstein when things became too “HOT,” asserting that they would have much to explain when their names are revealed in what he characterizes as a “Radical Left Witch Hunt.”
The new documents are part of a continuing federal investigation into Epstein’s criminal activities, including previously unreleased emails, photos, and surveillance footage. Earlier documents indicated that Trump had flown on Epstein’s private jet at least eight times between 1993 and 1996, raising further questions about their relationship.
Among the earlier batches of documents were surprising items, including novelty “Trump condoms,” which were confirmed to be authentic but are not considered criminal evidence.
