Celebrity Legal: 6ix9ine Turns Himself In to Begin Three-Month Jail Sentence

Tekashi 6ix9ine has officially turned himself in to serve a three-month sentence for violating the terms of his supervised release. On January 6, the controversial rapper surrendered to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he will be spending the next approximately 90 days.

The moment was turned into a spectacle, with popular streamer Adin Ross dropping off 6ix9ine and broadcasting his final moments as a free man via social media. In a video shared online, 6ix9ine was seen having his ankle monitor removed by influencer SteveWillDoIt and Adin Ross. As he prepared to enter the facility, he joked about potentially fleeing back to Miami, captioning the post: “Thank you guys so much see you in 3 months ❤️.”

6ix9ine’s return to jail comes after he violated three conditions of his supervised release, which he was placed under after serving around a year in prison for his involvement in a 2018 gang RICO case. Last March, during a raid at his South Florida home, police uncovered cocaine and MDMA, leading to a guilty plea for possession of the drugs four months later. Additionally, he faced another violation after assaulting a man at a mall in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Originally, 6ix9ine was scheduled to be sentenced in November, but he managed to postpone the date following a violent home invasion where masked gunmen ransacked his residence and briefly held his mother hostage.

In the lead-up to his surrender, 6ix9ine had been on a promotional tour, making appearances on various podcasts. During an interview on Adin Ross’ Kick stream, he emphasized that he is not suicidal, referencing the death of Jeffrey Epstein to illustrate his perspective.

As 6ix9ine begins his sentence, fans and critics alike will be watching closely to see what comes next for the polarizing figure in the world of hip-hop. For more updates on 6ix9ine and other celebrity legal matters, stay tuned to hiphopraisedmetheblog.com.
