Kianna Underwood, a former child star known for her role on Nickelodeon’s “All That,” tragically lost her life in a hit-and-run incident in Brooklyn on Friday. She was 33 years old.
According to the NYPD, Underwood was crossing an intersection in the Brownsville neighborhood when she was struck by a black Ford Explorer SUV in the morning. After being hit, she was subsequently struck by another vehicle, described as a black and gray sedan. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
Surveillance footage obtained by Eyewitness News reveals harrowing details of the incident, showing Underwood being dragged under one of the vehicles for two blocks before her body fell onto the street outside a nearby laundromat. Both drivers involved in the incident fled the scene, and as of now, they have not been identified. The investigation into the hit-and-run continues.
Kianna Underwood gained fame as a cast member on “All That,” appearing in seven episodes in 2005, and she voiced the character Fuschia Glover in the Nick Jr. series “Little Bill” from 1999 to 2004. Additionally, she performed as Little Inez in the national tour of “Hairspray.” Her role in “All That” marked her last credited performance, a show that has been pivotal in launching the careers of various stars, including Nick Cannon, Kenan Thompson, and Amanda Bynes.
