For those who thought hip-hop might slow down in 2026 following last year’s reported chart struggles, think again. This week’s New Music Friday is packed with fresh releases that showcase the genre’s relentless energy and creativity.

Leading the charge is A$AP Rocky, who is back in action with teasers from the deluxe edition of his album Don’t Be Dumb. After an eight-year wait for the original release, fans are eager for what he has in store. He has shared two tracks, “Flackito Jodye” featuring Tokischa and “I Smoked Away My Brain” with Imogen Heap and Clams Casino, both of which highlight his signature style.

Denzel Curry makes waves with the debut of his new supergroup, The Scythe, which includes notable artists such as A$AP Ferg, TiaCorine, Bktherula, and Key Nyata. Meanwhile, 42 Dugg rounds up a roster of familiar faces for his intense new album Part 3, which features collaborations with Lil Baby, GloRilla, and G Herbo, among others, ensuring a powerful listening experience.

Curren$y continues to defy the stoner slacker stereotype with his latest mixtape, Everywhere You Look, featuring collaborations with Wiz Khalifa and Trauma Tone, further proving his dedication to his craft.

Finally, other notable releases include Ari Lennox’s Vacancy, which features contributions from Buju Banton and Jermaine Dupri, as well as Hit-Boy’s multiple tracks like “NBA Centel” and “I’m Still Alive,” showcasing his versatility as a producer.
