Local News: NYPD Seeks Suspect in Brooklyn Mass Shooting Case

The NYPD continues its search for a suspect linked to a devastating mass shooting that occurred in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, in August 2025. The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left eleven others injured.

The shooting took place around 3:27 a.m. on Sunday, August 17, near 903 Franklin Avenue. Victims Marvin St. Louis, 19, Amadou Diallo, 27, and Jamel Childs, 35, all succumbed to their gunshot wounds, prompting an extensive investigation by law enforcement.

Authorities are currently seeking 34-year-old Haile Cummings in connection with the shooting. The NYPD has released a photograph of Cummings as part of their efforts to gather information from the public.

As investigations are ongoing, no arrests have yet been made. The police urge anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
